Today I am… delighted to introduce you to our very first Guest Blogger, none other than that notorious purveyor of beautiful smut, Monmouth! I saw this piece on his blog, and it had Fauxmos written all over it, as it deals with ambiguity around gender, identity, cocks and cunts in a quite thoughtful and evocative way.
Today I Am…
One thing about being a sexblogger is that through the veil of anonymity one can have email exchanges, chats and conversations that bypass all the normal causes of embarrassment. The pseudonym, the distance and the ephemerality of online interaction makes a certain truthfulness possible.
More than a year ago “Kitty” emailed me. She had some interesting questions about feminine appearance, including breasts, bums and the relative attractiveness of the various shapes of labia. In the email exchange that followed it quickly became apparent that she was asking because she was reinventing her own body.
One of her reasons for writing to me in the first place was a post that I published on another blog over four years ago with a bit of whimsical speculation about genitalia. She was speculating too, but on a radically different level.
Now her speculation has finally become flesh. To mark the date and to wish Kitty well, I reposted the entry below on my blog. Originally it was an invitation to contribute to a series of guest posts on another, now-defunct blog, titled “Pussyblogging Friday”. I may have suggested the invite myself, come to think of it. Here’s the result:
A Y-chromosome is no excuse for not having a pussy. Yes, I know, the mirror doesn’t lie. Nevertheless, it’s a feeble, literal-minded gesture to unzip and with trembling fingers point to a full-grown cock nesting comfortably on a bed of balls and pubes.
Hello! There you are, my snake, my drill, my hammer… The vocabulary of insecure boys is brimful of power drills and lethal weapons lurking beneath every bulging crotch.
What is pussy-like about this lovely, smooth-skinned cock, this beast that has so often sparked up at the mere fragrance of its female counterpart?
Let’s unzip and take a look. Growing erect, free of his denim prison he unfurls, hardens, rises to the stroking teasing of a finger. Hard and agonizingly sensitive, he’s a funny monster—ven in the passionate folds of a tightly clenching vagina he sometimes becomes overstimulated, the moist ecstasy tipping over into pain for a moment. Even there, while I stroke this hard boner, she’s in there. Right there under my skin curled around every cell in my body, the sturdy X embracing her spindly brother Y.
Likewise, a pair of tits is no excuse not to have a cock.
I have never been with a woman who didn’t have a bit of the cock about her. Which woman doesn’t have a cock? Doesn’t even the most virginal virgin sometimes feel the urge to penetrate, to sink into the wet depths, to be an invading phallus with her fingers, her hand, and to become that mirror organ that already has a place made for it inside her? Some women have bigger cocks than others, but they all have one, whether or not they can find them. It only takes a bit of patience.
And how do we find our inner cocks and pussies? We get help. Vulnerable, curious and hungry we spread our mouths, legs, fingers and arms open to each other, inviting and getting invited. Entering and being entered. The specific gender combination is utterly irrelevant; only the game matters. The play of appetites consuming each other.
I found my pussy playing a game like that. She’s right there. Growling, purring, from below the pit of my stomach to the deepest whorls of the cerebellum, she is me.
I don’t want one; I have one. Wanna see?
(With thanks to Elly for the invite to Fauxmos. Here’s the entry I wrote for Kitty.)
I found this piece incredibly striking and moving to read. Partly because it stood out from the rest of the erotic writing on MM’s blog. I love how it makes such a political statement, whilst retaining a explicit sexual message. Also the fact it is a response to a transgender reader makes it all the more valuable.
When I emailed MM about it I mentioned I don’t tend to use the term ‘pussy’ as it has been appropriated by American soft porn, not my favourite genre. But on re-reading the piece I realise the importance of the ‘pussy’ v ‘cock’ terminology, both of which are animalistic in their imagery. So it makes sense now. I would go so far to say that this piece ‘reclaims’ the word pussy, a bit like how Riot Grrl did, with songs like ‘swamp pussy’ by Babes In Toyland and The Power of Pussy by Bongwater. I hope that may have been the spirit of the Pussy Fridays blog too.
Thanks for sharing it with us Mon. For today you are an honorary fauxmo. Have a cocktail!
I love Bongwater.
I used to have an “I Brake for Bongwater” bumper sticker which I purchased from Kramer himself. You are about the only people I know who might be even slightly impressed by this.
Thanks, Mon. Some day, when I am feeling braver and have a little more experience, I may write about my strap on. It is a fascinating thing.
(I mention that because I have a book about strap-on sex which mentions the ‘inner cock/quintessential orifice’)
Dear Anwen, I am sure Mon and EVERYONE ELSE would love to hear about your adventures with your strap on. I am going to hold you to it!
XX
Simonsh I am more than impressed. I am orgasmic!
My favourite is the ‘Pretty Woman’ song which has been going through my head since the SATC2 furore. ‘Cos that’s all women are good for isn’t it? Sucking and shopping, sucking and shopping, sucking and shopping’.
XXXXXXXXX
Oh dear, what have I done?
I do feel different when I put it on. But hey, best not waste material…
I had my first ‘dominant’ fantasy very recently.
All my torturing myself over the politics of being a feminist submissive woman, I suddenly thought fuck it,
why don’t I just bum a man up the arse? That could do me the world of good!
It’s also rather excellent fun…
Lady Love Your Cock.
I suggest you recruit a volunteer, borrow Anwen’s tool (or get her in on the act), and let rip. Then blog about it. Very important that last bit. Give us pornographic details.
And thanks for picking up my blog post for further distribution across the interwebs.
I feel I should point out that, regardless of whether my cock is available for lending, it might be a bit much for a newbie receiver…
It’s a pleasure. It is no small thing that somebody in Sweden/somebody in America has found it worthwhile taking the trouble to copy and paste our words for the benefit of others. I am willing to do my bit for the cause… Anwen! Bring me my tool, I have work to do.
Is it possible for the threaded replies to go for more than three-levels-of-indentation? It’s a bit confusing having a bit of threading and then having to branch off again…
Also: of course I do, it’s purple!
You are my wing man and we are in this together. We just need to find the right boi. (Think of it as bumming on the orient express it will be more exciting)
I have crossposted this at
http://sexgenderbody.com/content/today-i-am
a brilliant space for anyone who rejects gender and sexuality stereotypes and who is interested in discussing gender/sexuality on any level.
‘And how do we find our inner cocks and pussies? We get help. Vulnerable, curious and hungry we spread our mouths, legs, fingers and arms open to each other, inviting and getting invited. Entering and being entered’.
That’s my favourite bit. ‘Vulnerable, curious and hungry’ it says it all doesn’t it?
I hate and love being vulnerable. I really hate it sometimes.
Talk of strap-ons always put me in mind of Myra Breckenridge, or that Will Self story where the woman grows a penis and gets raped by it.
I love this post and thank you for saying so cleanly, what is not spoken often. Namely, a personal experience. So many people repeat group given identity terms and expressions. There is nothing inherently bad about group terms of identity, but they most often lack the impact of intimacy and relatedness that comes in words such as your own, here.
I added this site to our blogroll and google-reader.

Hi! I am emailing because we at Hackgender have decided to extend the project and open up an archive! The archive isn’t quite ready yet, but it will be for the relaunch on July 1st. Each month will have a theme, with the first month, July, having a theme of Personal Reflection. We encourage you to submit something or multiple somethings! The archive is not limited to the written word either so podcasts, images, video, etc are all acceptable and encouraged! We were wondering if it was ok to copy and paste your hackgender submission into the archive. As our early adopter, we would be happy to do this work for you so that your submission could be included in the archive. Please let us know if it is ok! We really want it! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us, Thanks! JJ and Ana
Hiya
